Garden of Shadows

Garden of Shadows is a new event to me, but is becoming a firm favourite. The current round ends on the 30th March and I took some time to sneak over today and pick up some goodies. If you’re quick, make sure you spend some time there today or tomorrow for the gifts and many more items to pick up. The event itself runs each month from the 10th – 30th, so if there’s always a chance to pop back and take a peek.

Wanderer

I often like to travel and explore. Sometimes with another person but more often by myself. I’ll happily wander to music gigs, cinema screenings or on day trips by myself, happy in my own company. Sometimes I’ll take a book or some knitting but often I’ll just arrive and soak up the atmosphere. I realised a few years back that if I spent my life waiting for other people to be ready to do the things I wanted to do, I’d spend my life waiting…just waiting. So now, I do things my way, in my own time and I’m much happier for it.

Tick Tock

I love rediscovering music, especially songs I’d enjoyed a few years ago, forgotten about and then remembered again. One recent rediscovery has been her hit “What you Waiting for?” which I hear on repeat every time I look at the clocks in this picture. The lyrics had meaning 14 years ago when the song was released (14 years???!! Holy s**t where’s the time gone?!) but they resonate even more with me now, as time seems to move even quicker as I get a little bit older. So people, what are you waiting for?

Winter’s Kiss

There’s something about dressing up, doing my hair, picking out my jewellery and putting on bold makeup that makes me feel ready for the world. Something about making myself ready screams in my head “do your worst, I’m ready for you and I don’t care!” I blow a kiss, grin and get on with my business. Because if you’re so bothered about mine, surely you need something better to be doing in yours!
