Flawless

Flawless….how I do NOT feel most mornings when I wake up for work. I have to laugh to myself because, while I can function fairly quickly in the mornings, it isn’t a pretty sight. A few years I gave up caffeine and some mornings (ok, most days) I can feel my soul crave a little *pep me up* in my coffee. Ahh well body, we might not be flawless in the real world, but in pixel land we can look fabulous!

Shadows in the wind

Wanna know what makes me happy? Cake. A full bodied glass of red wine. Watching someone unwrap a hand knitted gift I’ve made and seeing their face light up with pleasure. Hearing the Boss laugh. Reading a good book; a page turner you force yourself to stop skimming because you’re so desperate to find out what happens next. Freshly laundered bedding. Sitting in the sunshine, feeling it slowly soak into your bones and warm you from the outside in. All these moments are fleeting, like shadows in the wind. But the memories: ah, they’ll last me a lifetime if I savour them 🙂

…of pizza 😀

I started this month with a personal resolution to get fitter and try to lose some weight. Ha! That ol’ adage, you think. Yep. Every year, same resolution and one week in, same wobbles. And, no I’m not referring to the ones on my body. Maybe the resolution should be more to do with self forgiveness. Brushing the mental dirt off myself and getting back on the wagon. Accepting there will be wobbles, but being determined to see things through. Until then, I have pizza…and ice cream…and the variety of drinks around me. Beer anyone?

This latest coffee and end table set from Salacity has a cute coaster that rezzes a range of drinks to enjoy. There are non alcoholic drinks too, so you don’t have to be a lush like me 😉 I also couldn’t resist the sweat pant set from Pink Cream Pie. Who knows, it might motivate me to get my ass to the gym on Monday.
