Well, I’ve spent the first part of this month telling you how glorious March and Spring are so far. I take it all back lol. It’s been miserable and wet today. ‘orrid stuff. Nothing nice about it at all. It makes me sad because this month marks the birthdays of family members that are no longer with me in rl. Birthdays I remember; birthdays we’ll never have a chance to celebrate. Every season marks a passing of time, just like the birthday candles on a cake accumulate. One day you’re fretting about school, the next you’re wishing you could rewind 20 years and care a little less about those things that caused so much stress. In reality, would I do things differently? Probably not. But I’d try to care more for myself and less about the opinions of others x

Festive Joy

As we stagger towards the end of 2020, I wonder if there will be enough festive cheer in my home this year. Heck, I wonder if there will be any festive cheer at all. Right now, I just want to get through December. Partly because I am done with this year, but partly because I have some rl holiday time booked in January and I need the break. I sit and wonder “does festive cheer exist anymore?” and then I’ll see an act of kindness that reminds me it does. I’ll hear a song on the radio that makes me smile. I’ll remind myself of traditions that, despite 2020, will still happen. Yes, there is festive cheer, dear reader. We just have to remind ourselves it exists ❤

2020 so far….

I think this this picture accurately sums up how 2020 has gone for most people so far. But, I shall focus on the main points. 2020 has…..turned me into a booze filled, sweary, cake craving, braless hot mess LOL! I started the year so optomistic. I applied for a new job and got it! Yay! Then lockdown started. Since then, I’ve steadily progressed to the pixelated version of me you now see before you. I hope there will be Christmas presents for family….but I still need to actually buy them. I hope that I’ll lose the lockdown weight I’ve gained, but I don’t know anymore. Thankfully I haven’t taken up smoking…YET…but we still have to survive December.

On a plus, the CBD infused toilet paper from Salt & Pepper has been very useful in calming me down. Thanks to the owner 😀

In the Bedroom

Sadly I haven’t been feeling well the last couple of days. As with all things Wintry, all sorts of viral infections have reared their heads and I’ve succumbed. Cue a temperature, sore throat and aching limbs. Now, I know I can be a *little* dramatic on occasion, but yes I don’t do illness well. I want pampering, fuss and love. Heck, I want to be curled up in bed with toasty warm toes. So don’t mind me if I head back to bed. This bedroom scene is just too cozy to ignore x
