Kitty!

My Princess Kitty and I have an interesting relationship. She certainly doesn’t like to be picked up and fussed like my companion here. She tolerates being picked up at the best of times. At the worst of times, it’s a swift smack and hiss! But she does love a chin fuss, where I scritch under her chin and wait for the loud purrs to start. My outfit is all about the casual this weekend, exploring travel memories and thinking about future travels to come. Livin’ on a prayer

I’m an 80s child. Born in the closing days of the 70s, living my formative years in the 80s and a hormonal teen in the 90s. What a time to listen to music and feel it pulsing through my blood. I remember the first time I heard Bon Jovi. One of the heavy rockers in my class shared a cassette with me “Crossroads”. It opened my eyes to so much more than saccharine pop into a world of MORE. Now I laugh to myself thinking “what was a ‘metal’ fan doing, listening to Bon Jovi?” but at the time….I loved it. It made me feel alive. It still does today 🙂

Festive Joy

As we stagger towards the end of 2020, I wonder if there will be enough festive cheer in my home this year. Heck, I wonder if there will be any festive cheer at all. Right now, I just want to get through December. Partly because I am done with this year, but partly because I have some rl holiday time booked in January and I need the break. I sit and wonder “does festive cheer exist anymore?” and then I’ll see an act of kindness that reminds me it does. I’ll hear a song on the radio that makes me smile. I’ll remind myself of traditions that, despite 2020, will still happen. Yes, there is festive cheer, dear reader. We just have to remind ourselves it exists ❤
