Entwined

Entwined is the name of the sim my dear friends own and I was lucky enough to witness their wedding last week. Having received an invitation to take a photo before it’s converted into their own outdoor “playroom” (their words, not mine *coughs*) I couldn’t resist snapping a shot by this beautiful candlelit tree. A perfect illuminated contrast to my reflective mood. Enjoy x

Wanderer

I often like to travel and explore. Sometimes with another person but more often by myself. I’ll happily wander to music gigs, cinema screenings or on day trips by myself, happy in my own company. Sometimes I’ll take a book or some knitting but often I’ll just arrive and soak up the atmosphere. I realised a few years back that if I spent my life waiting for other people to be ready to do the things I wanted to do, I’d spend my life waiting…just waiting. So now, I do things my way, in my own time and I’m much happier for it.

Zombie unicorns

Ok, whoever came up with the idea of putting this image on this dress is inspired….yes I mean you: Vampira Voom – owner of {Get Frocked}! I’m sure we must share a connection on an astral plane somewhere (far far apart, she’s probably thinking) because I blogged a {Get Frocked} dress at Valentine’s that had a logo on it stating “V is for Vodka” and YES IT IS! My point being, I’d never considered what would happen if unicorns got bitten in TWD but think about it. The carnage, the brains, the wanton destruction, as these cutsey little creatures spike everyone left, right and centre. It’d be more entertaining than the first half of the current season *coughs*

Needless to say, I’m channelling my dark inner self and it’s quite a revelation to see what comes out. Both The Darkness Chamber Fair and Ostara’s Altar are on until the end of the month and there are many exclusives, gifts and discounts to be found at both events.

More events to explore!

Events, events, events. There’s never a lack of them in SL these days. Yesterday, I talked about the Red Light District opening this week, and two further events have just opened, packed with discounts and gifts for you to check out.

The Darkness Chamber Fair – Bargains on the Bayou runs until the end of this month and is full of names you will know and love, plus some newer brands in SL, which I’ve had fun discovering. There are exclusives and discounts to pick up and it’s worth popping over to have a nose about.

Ostara’s Altar is run by Dark Passions Events, the same people who bring us the Gothic Garage Sale. There is plenty of discounts to keep you busy plus a 5L hunt. This event runs until the 3rd April, so a little more time to spread the pennies. Both events showcase new talent as well as existing designers.
