Shop & Hop!

I finally managed to get myself into the Shop & Hop event yesterday and I only have one word for you….WOWSERS! Five sims packed with merchants you all know and love; many items reduced and every store with a gift. As a freebie lover I can assure you, these gifts are beautiful. Some days, I wish I looked this sophisticated as I headed into work. Coffee in hand, perfectly applied makeup, not a single hair out of place. Ok, scrap that….EVERY day I wish I looked this sophisticated! In reality, it very often is a mad scramble out of the door, hair still damp (thank goodness I cut it all off this summer) with Princess Kitty demanding some form of attention.

In the meantime, I shall continue to look gorgeous in my perfectly prepared outfit. At least in one world, I look like I know what I’m doing!

Um, no.

Funny how such a small word, containing only two letters, can often be the hardest to say. Whether it’s from fear of rejection, always wanting to be the life of the party or wanting to please other people, there can be a multitude of reasons we say ‘yes’ rather than saying ‘no’. It’s something I’m often guilty of; I won’t say no because I want to make other people happy, but it can be at the expense of my own happiness. So, if you ever hear those words exiting my lips, appreciate it’s from a need to preserve my sense of ‘self’ and it’s never ever intended to let you down.
