Is it Autumn yet?

As you can see from my picture today, I’m feeling pulled in two directions. We’re still experiencing some Summer warmth in the UK (well, it’s still early September) but already I can feel Autumn’s grip pulling me towards her. Sweaters, pumpkin spice latte, Halloween, dare I admit I saw my first Christmas advert on the tv the other night? All of these signs show me that “Winter is Coming” (Ahh Jon Snow you have so much to answer for!”) Yet, I still want to hold on to the last remnants of Summer: sunshine on my skin, fruits, cocktails, walking barefoot in the garden and lazily thinking of nothing. Hopefully I’ll find my balance today, but something tells me that Summer won’t be here for much longer.

Butterfly

There seemed to be a common theme with a lot of the items in my outfit today: butterflies! From my toes to the top of my head, they are on my skin. I quite like that; fragile creatures that venture out into the world to bring beauty for the fleeting moment they’re alive. Isn’t that what we all do?
