So many cocktails.

This time next week I’ll be on vacation. It’s needed, very much needed. I’m not sure where time is going this year but it’s speeding up and I want some back. Before we know it, I’ll be hitting a “big” year birthday and I’m not ready for it. I’m still 35 in my head! One thing we often do on holiday is splash out on the all-inc drinks package. Don’t judge me. I’m not a *heavy* drinker at all. I love the convenience and the variety of cocktails I can drink on the package. So many cocktails. While I’m dreading the thought of packing, the thought of being pampered for nine days is motivating stuff! So, if I go quiet for a little while don’t worry. I’ll be back – tanned and with some weight to lose, but who’s counting? It’s worth it!

Concrete Jungle

I had such fantastic plans for this afternoon. I truly did. I had the time booked off work and a whole list of things to do. I was going to go to the movies, a little window shopping, a quick jog and perhaps some reading. Some proper “me” time in the sunshine. Instead….I came home, watched some telly (The Handmaid’s Tale has finally come to the UK!), ate some bacon flavoured crisps (trying to wash the taste of it out now) and napped too long. I *think* RL came home from work and asked if I wanted to go to the gym with him. I *think* I may have told him to go somewhere….I can’t remember. Ahh well, it’ll be a while before I get another afternoon off to myself again. Back to the grindstone.

Tropic

Some days I wake up in a particular fashion mood. Often on a Sunday, it tends to be comfy clothes: jeans, sweats, even pyjama sets. That’s the beauty of SL, you can wear whatever suits your mood and change a dozen times a day if you want. Despite the rain and cold outside my window, today in SL is going to be a tropical bikini day. Hot, sultry and enticing. Who knows what the day will bring? Hopefully some sun 😀

Try to be more kind

I’ve been dipping into music this weekend, enjoying tunes from artists I know and are new to me. I tend to go on a YouTube frenzy every so often, darting from one related song to another, never quite knowing where I end up. Previously, it’s been metal, 80s hair bands…this week it’s singer songwriters. I ended the evening on this song and I hope it resonates with you as much as it did with me.
