Carolling

Wynn wasn’t a natural singer, but she always gave things a good try. As she belted out the carols that night, she found herself swapping out the duller words for more *fruity* options, some of which caused the owners of the beautiful house behind her to blush. Wondering whether people were going for a coffee break, she found herself slowly abandoned by her friends and the lights in the house switched off. “Oh well” she thought. “Might as well sing another one and see if they prefer that!”

Are we sure there’s *just* coffee in my mug this morning? Who knows, but given the rosy cheeks (on my face, you naughty naughty people) and the fact that my butt is hanging out (albeit in very cute panties), we might have cause to suspect the mug is right. A Question of Luck

I’m a sucker for good quality clothing, hair and shoes in SL. I’m also a sucker for a bargain. A good quality freebie in SL….even better! When I have free time inworld, I love to find a good lucky board, hang out with like minded people and see what comes my way. Don’t be fooled though, it isn’t all giggles and chilled conversation. If a board has a wildcard (?) feature enabled, I’ve seen people go from smiley to ultra competitive in the time it  takes to blink. But for me, that’s part of the experience and the fun of hanging around lucky boards. You never quite know what you’re going to get.

When nookie doesn’t mean *nookie*

Yesterday I posted what I thought was an innocuous title on the blog, which referred to the term “nookie”. I underestimated how many people would pick up on that….aaaaaand how my definition of a word isn’t necessarily the ‘actual’ definition of the word! Nookie to me means cuddles. It means cuddling up with someone special, kisses, some touches but most importantly it’s shared time together. Apparently, to the rest of the world it means doin’ the dirty. Hmm. Well, they say you learn something new every day!

It led my group of friends on to thinking about other terms that mean something different to what’s intended. For example…netflix and chill. Yes. I am one of the minority that literally means “I want to watch netflix on the couch, in my pjs with you, in a blanket fort and chill” when I say netflix and chill. Not doin’ the dirty.

Wouldn’t life just be easier if we all said what we meant?
