And here we are….it’s December people! Happy Holidays!! Although, if you’re anything like me, my holiday time starts in a couple of weeks and we’re on countdown! My mental calendar is ticking down and I am ready to…..sleeeeeeeep. lol. Of course, we know that won’t really happen, but hey, a girl can hope.

Card Games

All card games are games of chance, one way or another. There’s always an element of probability involved as you shuffle and cut the deck. Then you begin to play. You may win. You may lose. You may become frustrated and stop. But, you always play. That’s the key thing. You take that chance. You run that risk of failure to try and succeed. I read a brilliant quote yesterday “be brave enough to fail at something new”. It resonated because failure is a temporary state if you keep trying, but if you don’t try then it becomes permanent. Happy Fall.

I love Fall or as we Brits like to call it, Autumn. Yes, like Spring it’s a transitional season. But I love the colours that seem to emerge on the trees – all the browns, yellows and oranges. Earthy tones. It’s a season to wrap up warm, but there are sunny days and still opportunities to go out for walks. I don’t feel hemmed in by the weather and there certainly isn’t any Christmas music on the radio….yet! So, Happy Fall, dear reader. I hope you get plenty of Pumpkin Kisses and Harvest Wishes. Failing that, there’s always Spring to look forward to – although now I am wishing my life away!

Don’t you just hate waiting? Some people take pleasure in the anticipation. They savour that moment just before *it* happens. Whatever *it* is supposed to be. I’m not one of those people! It’s been commented before that I can be patient, but more often than not, I’m just impatient. Lol. I want it and I want it now! So, sitting and waiting for a train to arrive is not my idea of fun. Sometimes the destination is much more fun than the journey itself.
