Something New

For the longest time I’ve been a Firestorm girl for my photography and blogging. What can I say, I like to point and click and I’m a simple girl at heart. However, having spare time this week between jobs, I downloaded and finally looked at Black Dragon. Now, it’s a viewer I would never use on a day to day level. Nope. No way. You’ll never drag this girl from Firestorm. I love it too much. But for photography….well Black Dragon, you just blew my mind. We shall see what the future holds for us, but if this session was anything to go by….yes, yes, yes! ❤

Today has been a strange day. End of the month blues perhaps. I shouldn’t be feeling sad though because there are always fun activities and people to chat with inworld. My romper is a gorgeous free gift, although you need to hit the midnight mania deadline before midnight to win. My hair and earrings compliment each other perfectly; after all what goes better with tucked hair than a gorgeous pair of earrings? See, things to be thankful for, after all x

The masks we wear

I’ve always been fascinated by masks, whether the ones we wear as decorative pieces or the ones we wear to hide who we truly are. Often with our online personas, we choose to hide ourselves and disassociate our online actions from who we are in our real lives. Would we really be so abrupt, rude or honest to the point of nastiness to someone if we were standing in front of them? I’m sure for a number of people the answer would be a resounding “yes!” but for many others, perhaps not. I’ve often read in people’s profiles “who I am here is the same in RL as in SL” or “there is a real person behind this avatar, with real feelings”. I wonder if these people actually remember their own words when their acts cause someone else to feel hurt or upset too. Who knows? These are all ramblings of an overactive mind.

A new round of the Trunk Show opened on the 19th October and as always the range of designs on offer are lovely. Make sure you take some time to check out this round to see what spooky twist the Designers have come up for you. In the meantime, I shall continues my explorations of SL and try to find you some more beautiful destinations to enjoy x
