You may or may not know this but the Mister and I DJ an inworld event every Saturday with different music themes. Sometimes it’s movies tunes, dance or pop. Last weekend it was a 50s theme old time rock n roll party, inspired by Grease and Dirty Dancing. I’ll be honest, it was a chance for the Mister to wear leather and for me to drool. It was also a chance to dress up, enjoy some fantastic tunes and share stories. All good fun for a Saturday night x

The truth isn’t always what you want to hear

I remember visiting a Tarot card reader once. I don’t know how she did it, but she picked up on some things that made me burst into tears right in front of her. The observations touched a nerve…well more than that. The observations sandblasted the nerve red raw and left me exposed. I believe the lady I spoke with that day was sincere in her good intentions. But I also learned an important lesson. Sometimes, those observations, those good words…they aren’t always what you want to hear. They can do more damage than good. Perhaps some things shouldn’t be known. I’ve never been to one since.

I want to show you some more detail of the Kei Spot modular carnival, because I cannot do this fatpack justice. It’s a new release, at UBER, after which it’ll be at the mainstore. All four sections have their individual animations, so you can get some snacks after your virtual tarot card reading or have your face painted. There’s a gyazo walk through in the credits, kindly provided by the store owner. With Summer nearly here (and if you’re in the UK you’ll know what a joke that’s turning out to be), I’m hoping for some more outdoor activities soon!

I wish I was an adept piano player. Sadly I’m not. There was a time I learned to play the flute, but alas, there weren’t any band camp experiences for me. I remember visiting friends as a child and discovering a piano in their house. The keys had been labelled and I gleefully bashed away at them until I was (not so) politely told to stop. I firmly believe that this was because I was so good, they were embarrassed about their own lack of skill. It had nothing to do with my pauses, bashings or mistakes 😉
