Little black dress

I may have mentioned this before, but I’ll mention it again. I love colour. Colourful accessories, jewellery, makeup, bright bold beautiful things that just make my inner princess gasp “oooohhh!” BUT, if you want your colourful pretties to stand out, there’s only one way to do it. With a little black dress. And this is one heckuva little back dress. Make sure you check it inworld, because the brocading at the front is beautiful. Now, off to find myself a party to crash…..

Pout!

Painting my nails is my weekly luxury (ok, one of them… >.>) I enjoy picking the colour (the brighter the better) and going through the application procedure. I love seeing the end result and thinking that no matter what happens, I have my killer nails on 😉 Add the perfect shade of lipstick and we’re ready to go. Hair, makeup, jewellery. A perfect combination. Now…pout!

Cool Blue

I love colour. The brighter, the bolder, the better as far as I’m concerned. I like to express myself with warm colours, which is why the darkness in this picture is such a contrast for me. And yet, it calls to me. Is it the eyes, the pose, the makeup? Who knows? I can’t explain it, but I want to reach out, take the perfectly lacquered hand and pull my alter ego through into the light. I don’t want her to languish behind this cool blue screen I see.

As the leaves fall

 Autumn is a funny time of the year; sometimes I struggle to reconcile it. Part of me mourns the summer that has gone and anticipates the winter to come. The other part of me is optimistic and looks forward to warmth once more. It’s a transition season; a time of change. Change is coming, it’s how I deal with it that matters. 

I’ve experienced some changes recently that while I initially feared them, I can see a positive and rewarding way forward. Change is neither good nor bad, it’s just …. different and we can all adapt to different ❤️
