Memories

Sometimes memories come back to haunt me. Flippant words said in the heat of the moment take root and taunt me in my dreams. Expressions, inflections, even lack of response; they sit in the recesses of my mind waiting for the right opportunity. To paralyse. To hurt. To leave me naked and raw. I don’t know why I second guess. But memories sometimes come back to haunt me, and I don’t know why.

Do you ever have some days where you just want to stick up two fingers and scream? Yeah. Swan Song

February deserves a swan song, don’t you think? As this month slowly comes to an end, I see sunshine on the horizon and hear birds singing. Much better than snow, icy blasts of wind and the general malaise that has haunted me since last year. Knowing Spring is around the corner cheers me up and reminds me that the Winter darkness is nearly gone. Thank God.

Something New

For the longest time I’ve been a Firestorm girl for my photography and blogging. What can I say, I like to point and click and I’m a simple girl at heart. However, having spare time this week between jobs, I downloaded and finally looked at Black Dragon. Now, it’s a viewer I would never use on a day to day level. Nope. No way. You’ll never drag this girl from Firestorm. I love it too much. But for photography….well Black Dragon, you just blew my mind. We shall see what the future holds for us, but if this session was anything to go by….yes, yes, yes! ❤
