It’s still Summer somewhere

This week in the UK it got cold. Now I know you scoff at this and think “this woman….all she talks about is the weather” but hey! I’m British! It’s what we do. Tea, Weather and Queues. The grand thing about SecondLife is that no matter where you are in the world, no matter the time of year, you can create your own season. As my friend Jodie said recently, it’s cold outside but inside I’m at my beach. So if it’s a particularly cold day in the UK, perhaps you’ll find me here again; looking at the water on my own little beach.

Camping

OK, confession time. I don’t camp. I don’t do camping. The closest I get to nature is in my back garden drinking a cup of earl grey (decaf) in the summer. I hotel. I looove to hotel. Wynn likes to be pampered both in RL and SL (and yes, I just referred to myself in the third person).

So for your benefit only, I’ll just sit here with my pixel food, on my pixel chair, in my pixel clothes……daydreaming about a 5 star hotel and trying not to get bitten by a thousand little midges.

Waiting for the storm to pass

Isn’t that what we all do sometimes? Sit and wait, while the snow flurries around us, waiting. Just waiting. And once the storm has settled, whether it’s in our minds, our hearts or our environment, we emerge and begin to make sense of it all.

Sometimes there is no sense to make of things, though. Sometimes these things happen because of factors outside our control or because someone else has willed it this way. So, what do we do? Brave the storm, deal with whatever it is swirling around us, attempt to cauterise and heal or do we wait? Just wait.
