I have to admit, putting this scene together really put me in the mood for a BBQ – so much so I *had* to have steak for dinner tonight. There’s something about outdoor cooking that appeals, although knowing my luck I’d probably give myself food poisoning. The last time I tried an outdoor BBQ I bought one of those single use ones and tried cooking some sausages and burgers on it. Needless to say, we ordered take out that night – they were burnt on the outside and raw inside. Thankfully this set from Kei Spot won’t give you a dodgy tummy, which is more than can be said for my cooking! Enjoy x

Afternoon Tea

We have beautiful weather today in the UK, which makes me very happy for two reasons. Firstly, it’s the Mister’s birthday so I know he’ll spend time in the sun enjoying his doggy walks. Secondly, it puts me in the mood to sit in the sun, drink tea and listen to all the sounds of nature. If someone asks me what one thing I’ve learned from this entire lock down experience, it’s been to enjoy the little quiet moments….being in the garden, listening to birds, watching leaves rustling in the breeze and feeling the sun’s warmth seep into my skin.
