Bats for Lashes

Earlier this week I mourned the loss of Summer and that Autumn was well and truly on it’s way. One thing I enjoy this time of year though, is experimenting with the gothic, dark and Halloween theme outfits and accessories that we’re spoiled with in SL. Where else could you literally wear bats for lashes? It also gives me a chance to experiment with shadows, which is one feature of SL photography I really enjoy. My friend Luca gave me the link to Satomi’s (Foxcity) windlights recently and I’ve been having a lot of fun with them. As you can see here, I’ve gone from angelic to dark shadows with merely two clicks. For all those who know me, try not to chuckle on the angelic reference. Everyone knows I’m an angel.

Glamorous Rock n Roll

Who said rock n roll needed to be grungy, dingy and grim? Not me! I’m excited because tomorrow I’m heading into London to see one of my favourite rock bands in action. Not only am I seeing them headline, I’ve managed to grab tickets for a small acoustic set before the main gig. So think of me tomorrow at 6pm, while I scream like a fan girl and then laugh at myself for my own giddiness!

Hot Apple Cider

Sadly, it only feels like yesterday I was posting glorious Summer pictures and now it feels like Autumn has arrived. Literally. I look out of my window this morning and it’s horrible grey YUCK and I just want to crawl back into bed. I asked RL if I had to go to work and he told me yes. Spoil sport. I know a lot of people love Autumn and all the warmth and colour that comes with it, for example the falling leaves and pumpkins – but I prefer the warmth of a lazy summer afternoon where you can sit outside with a drink and watch the world pass by. Who knows? Maybe it’s time to emigrate like a swallow 🙂

Journeys

Sometimes the journeys we make are with specific destinations in mind. Sometimes they’re random, enjoying the experience of the journey itself. Recently I switched the look of this blog and for me, it feels appropriate as part of my blogging journey.
